2026 Internal Communications Content Calendar

Internal comms is one of those jobs where you’re expected to be strategic, timely, inclusive and engaging - every month of the year.

To make that a little easier, we’ve created a 2026 Internal Communications Content Calendar, designed specifically for Australian in-house teams.

It’s practical, not performative:

  • A full year of Australian dates, observances and moments

  • No more than five per month - so it’s usable, not overwhelming

  • A balanced mix of contribution, care, culture and lighter social moments

  • Suitable for national organisations, without veering into anything polarising or tokenistic

This is the kind of tool I wish more teams had in place before the calendar fills up and content becomes reactive.

If you’d like your own copy, you can download it free from our website. Just head to the Strategic Communication section of my services page: https://www.susanblain.com.au/services

Tip: if you sign up to our blog, you’ll ensure you, or your team, or organisation, don’t miss future free resources like this, along with practical guidance on what lands well in complex environments.

Enjoy.

There are very few things in life for free — at least this is one.

Editorial Note: The version of the 2026 Calendar supplied on 21/01/26 was updated on 22/01/2026 to include Australia’s National Day of Mourning, 22 Jan, for victims of the Bondi Beach Terror Attack.
