Starting a business - it takes courage

#so_lucky

This Easter weekend I’m reflecting on the leap I took — from being a trusted voice behind brilliant brands to backing myself and launching Susan Blain Consulting.

It’s been nerve-wracking, petrifying, and full of echo-chamber decisions. I’ve led engagement and comms for years, but stepping out solo? That takes a different kind of courage.

Mark Manson said, “Before you win everyone will ask you why you’re working so hard, after you win everyone will remind you how lucky you got.” That hits home. The truth is, this shift has taken grit, clarity, and the kind of mates who don’t flinch when you go all in.

To my foundational crew — thank you. For showing up, cheering loud, and reminding me I’m not alone in this.

A handful of clients, a strong pipeline, content that’s landing — and the best feeling of all? Being my own example of #engagement and #impact.
